What the MythVCA 500 Is

The MythVCA 500 is our VCA compressor in the 500-series format – the counterpart to the MythEQ 500. It is designed as a powerful, versatile and complete VCA compressor, as compact as the 500 series allows: three ratio settings (2:1, 4:1, 10:1), attack between 0.1 and 20 ms, release from 0.1 ms to 1.4 s, plus an auto-release function that "listens" to the signal and handles compression as musically as possible, a side-chain low-cut (60/120 Hz) and detented pots. With the supplied link bridge, two MythVCAs can be coupled into a stereo bus compressor. Use it to bring individual tracks to the front, hold a mix bus together or gently densify while recording.
