The author describes the room as lively and "real"-sounding and tried the plug-in with drums, piano, synthesizer and vocals. The Raummaschine is the pure reverb algorithm of the Raumzeitmaschine – if you also want the character of tubes and transformers, the hardware has it.
What the Raummaschine Is
The Raummaschine brings the reverb algorithm of our tube reverb unit Raumzeitmaschine into the DAW as a plug-in – written in C++ and assembler to keep CPU load as low as possible. Operation is deliberately simple: Input, Pre-Delay, Size, Mix, Output, Density and Decay, plus a set of presets to load and adjust. The hardware's tube and transformer stages are not simulated in the plug-in – it is the pure algorithm; if you want the hardware's own character, the Raumzeitmaschine has it, with servo-motor controls that can be remote-controlled from the DAW. Formats: VST, VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP and standalone for macOS (10.13 and later) and Windows 10/11; the plug-in can be authorized on three computers. A demo with license code is available on the product page. Amazona.de also reviewed the hardware: "Dream Time for Space Time".
