Who Snow Owl Is
Juan García-Herreros, known by his stage name Snow Owl, is a Latin Grammy® nominated composer, producer, and bassist from Bogotá, Colombia. He was awarded the “Best Bass Player in the World” in 2019 by the readers of Music Radar, Bass Player Magazine and UK Bass Guitar Magazine. In February, he visited Berlin as part of the “World of Hans Zimmer” tour, and we had the honor of having him visit our headquarters.

The Raumzeitmaschine in Brief
The Raumzeitmaschine is our tube reverb unit: a processor calculates the reverb, which is then enriched by the analog stage of two double triodes per channel plus input and output transformers – which is why there are only analog inputs and outputs (XLR, transformer-balanced, true stereo). Instead of hundreds of parameters there are just a few: pre-delay, room size, density and decay time. All controls sit on servo motors and can be operated on the unit, via the built-in web server or through the DAW plug-in (AU, AAX, VST); preset management is handled by the DAW or the plug-in. Because the connection runs over Ethernet there is no cable-length limit as with USB, and Wi-Fi via your router works as well.
