News from July 2022 – the anniversary promotion has ended.
It is with great pleasure that we inform you that today we are starting to celebrate our Creme's 10-year anniversary!Of course, there is no better way to celebrate it than giving gifts to everyone who wants to be a part of this beautiful history.
Starting today, the Creme will be available at a special anniversary price inside the EU - this sale will be valid until the 15th of September!
But wait, there is more: along with the Creme, you will also get an exclusive Tegeler T-shirt and 4x XLR cables, so that you can start working with it right away! But you’d better hurry, cause this offer is only valid as long as our stock of T-shirts and cables lasts - so don't miss your chance!
And if you already own a Creme, we also thought about you: you can be a part of our Global Creme Montage Overload! If you post a short video showing your Creme with the hashtag #10yearsofcreme, you will get a discount on any 19'' rack device or any 500-series device. (Please also send us the video through a public Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox.)
Let's start celebrating!
*Please note that all prices are considering the 19% German VAT. Depending on your country, the final price could be different. All these conditions are valid only inside the EU.
Ten Years of Creme in Reviews and Studios
Since its introduction in April 2012 the Creme has left a long trail of reviews: Amazona.de (2015), Bonedo.de and tools4music (2017), MusicTech (2018), plus video reviews by Produce Like A Pro, MixbusTV and Streaky. In 2021 the Creme RC added the version with motorized pots and plug-in recall.
What the Creme Is – and Why It Sits on the Mix Bus
The Creme is our bus compressor and mastering equalizer: a passive Pultec-style EQ and an SSL-style VCA bus compressor in one 2U unit. The order is switchable – EQ before the compressor or compressor before the EQ. On the mix bus the compressor pulls the separate parts into one whole, almost inaudibly at a 1.5:1 ratio, with a rhythmic signature of its own at higher ratios and faster timing; a side-chain filter keeps frequencies below 60 or 120 Hz out of the control circuit. The EQ offers a bass boost between 20 and 200 Hz and a high boost between 10 and 24 kHz, each 0–5 dB, every value on a rotary switch – which is why every setting is exactly reproducible. If you want plug-in recall, the Creme RC with motorized pots has it: Amazona.de reviews our Creme RC.
