Keep It Now, Pay Later: Installments at Tegeler

You've had your favorite unit in the studio for 14 days. And you love what it does to your music. Sending it back now hurts. You know how much you'll miss it. It's just that the money for it won't be there for another few months.
We know that feeling. So we looked for a way to let you keep it now. And found one: at checkout you can choose PayPal or Klarna, and both offer eligible customers the option to pay in installments. The unit stays with you, the price stays the same, and so does your purchase contract with us. The financing itself is handled entirely by the payment provider.
How installment payments work at checkout
Add the unit to your cart and go to checkout. There are two routes: PayPal, or card payment through Stripe. Klarna sits behind the second one: in the Stripe checkout, Klarna appears as its own payment method as soon as your shipping address is in a country Klarna supports. With PayPal you log in to your account, and the installment option appears there as an additional choice if you qualify. Either way, you pick the term, the provider runs a real-time credit check, and before you confirm you see the monthly amount, the term, and the interest that applies.
Once approved, we receive the full amount and ship the unit. You then pay the installments directly to PayPal or Klarna, not to us. Refunds go back the same way: with Klarna, remaining installments are cancelled and anything already paid is returned to you; with PayPal, your PayPal account handles the rest of the payment plan.
PayPal installments
In Germany, PayPal offers "PayPal Ratenzahlung" with fixed monthly installments over 3, 6, 12, or 24 months. It requires a German personal PayPal account with a linked bank account or debit card and a positive credit check by PayPal. According to PayPal, extra payments and early repayment are possible at any time without a surcharge. The minimum order value, the interest rate, and the exact terms are set by PayPal and shown to you during checkout.
In other countries the offers have different names and different conditions: in the US there are "Pay in 4" and "Pay Monthly", in the UK, France, Italy, and Spain "Pay in 3" and country-specific installment plans. Whether and which option you see depends on the country of your PayPal account.
Klarna through the Stripe checkout
If you choose Klarna, you're taken to Klarna briefly and then back to our shop. There, Klarna shows you the options that apply to your country, your currency, and the amount: pay now, pay in 30 days, pay in three interest-free installments (four in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand), or financing over up to 36 months, which may include interest. The longer financing isn't available in every country. Klarna runs a credit check along the way and may decline. If it comes back negative, we are not told why; in that case, Klarna's customer service is the only way forward.
Regional limitations
Installment payments are not a Tegeler offer. They come from PayPal and Klarna, and both provide them only in certain countries, each with its own terms, amounts, and requirements, and both may decline in individual cases, for instance after the credit check. So we promise nothing. Whether and which option is available to you is shown at checkout, before you confirm anything. If it doesn't show up, it's down to your country, your account, or the provider's decision, and we have no influence on that. In that case, our local dealers are worth a look; some have financing options of their own.
One more thing, because it belongs here: an installment plan is a loan. Over its term, the interest makes the unit cost more than the price tag says. Run the total before you confirm.
