Dominik Piorr of Flip Toy Productions, Live Sound Engineer for Robin Schulz and enthusiastic Tegeler user, told us about the use of his Creme on the Robin Schulz Brazil Tour 2018:

"The production team of Robin Schulz and myself have long been convinced by the Creme, especially in combination with the EQP-1, to refine the sound on the Masterbus.

Due to the routing, it was not possible to take along the full rack, which also contained a Waves server and an SSL Bus Comp, on this year's tour. So ultimately only the Creme should accompany us. A decision that I have not regretted.

In South America, there is often the special challenge to find a PA system thats already proper equipped and well-functioning. Since the post-processing of the local PA in connection with the language barriers can take some time, there is often not much time left for the actual sound check. Then things have to happen quickly.

“The Creme [...] tickles a sound out of the often very old speakers, that makes the difference day and night. For me an absolutely indispensable tool, and not only with Robin Schulz” - Dominik Piorr

The Creme also shows its strengths here, as only our estimated default setting already gives the entire signal a lot more depth, with clearly defined highs and lows and thus a fabulous resolution with a really noticeable extension of the stereo image.

So it is really not a problem to start directly after a short line check, without being afraid to switch on the Creme during the set, as long as you pay attention to the gain staging at the line check (there's got to be time for that). What I like again and again is the operating concept, which is structured so clearly that it is very hard to grab the wrong dials.

The Creme does not save a poorly configured PA - it should not even, but it tickles a sound out of the often very old speakers, that makes the difference day and night. For me an absolutely indispensable tool, and not only with Robin Schulz. Which should not mean that next time I renounce the EQP-1 - well, only if I'd have to…"

Three of the pictures show the Creme at the Sundance Festival in Porto Seguro. The other three the P12 Outdoor Club in Florianopolis.
